Reflection: EDUC-67141-3 Reaching and Engaging All Learners Through Technology

Published by under Uncategorized

The opportunity to know where to search and gather resources from Differentiation Station social network has allowed me to expand my instruction within my classroom.  Through the techniques and strategies of Universal Design for Learning and Differentiated Instruction, I have learned how to meet the needs of all of my students more effectively.  In a classroom environment with students  of ESL, Autism, speech difficulties and other special needs it is extremely important for the teacher to provide a learning environment that will provide success for all.  Having these resources will allow for constant referral to and inclusion into the instruction.

Including technology in the instruction promotes a positive atmosphere for the students.  It is important for students to reach success and it is important for the teachers to do whatever they need to do to see that success reached.  When including different types of technology such as the SMART Board, ELMO, computer programs, tape recorders, digital cameras and video cameras, the teacher can provide students a way to communicate or present what they have learned in a method best suited to their style of learning.
